— Who is someone you admire and why?
Joan Smalls is my favorite supermodel due to how radiant, real and strong-minded she is. If I could ask her to be my mentor, I would. I respect how she never forgets where she came from even with how successful she is through her interviews and work. I can relate to her on how our parents said college first before choosing to model full-time. Getting an education was very important in my parents’ household.
— Something you are self-conscious about:
I’ve been self-conscious about my height because I’ve always heard “You’re so tall.” It’s like, how do I respond to that? I’d rather just stand tall and stand proud. I’m owning the beauty of my long legs! I am a six-foot giraffe from Minnesota.
— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I am a free-spirited person. It’s important to allow myself to be free, to roam, to love and learn whatever I choose. I walk through life to the beat of my own drum.
2. I want to design my own clothing collection for tall women and men to widen the options we’re not always offered.
3. I was born and raised in Minnesota. When it’s warm you’ll find me playing beach volleyball, biking, rollerskating, walking my dog and paddleboarding by the lake- there are so many lakes to choose from but my favorite is Bde Maka Ska. When it’s cold I’d rather skip outside activities, bake cookies and drink my hot chocolate.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
A cause that I am passionate about is the development of African Nations and African Youth. There are thousands of kids whose hearts are full of joy, passion and creativity yet our countries are constantly experiencing instability. I can’t help but wonder what they could create with their bare hands had they been given more.

1. I speak 5 languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Latin.
2. I played college basketball in Canada

I have 2 brothers and I am the middle child. Born from French and African parents, we were taught that people will treat you based on how you dress, so we had to develop a good sense of style and dress well everywhere we go.

— Among your friends or family, what are you most famous for?
I have the biggest relationship with animals that no one else has. I love animals so much that I own a potbelly pig! I’ve always been good with animals and I don’t think there’s an animal that I wouldn’t love.

My broad shoulders. It’s an odd insecurity but I’ve definitely grown to love all aspects of my body! I’ve gained a lot of confidence this past year.
— What is something you wish you knew more about?
The ocean! We’ve only discovered but so little of it. I think there are definitely interesting, beautiful and scary creatures lurking deep down there and I want to see them!

People get grossed out by my unusually bendy fingers. I think it’s kinda cool though.

Frank Ocean. His music gives me full-body chills. Normally it’s just a limb or two…
Katherine
Who:
Katherine Kesler; 177 cm / 5’9.5″; American from Fishers, Indiana; born September 21st.

— How and when did you become a model?
In March of 2020, my dad was completing an online workout, given his gym switched to meeting virtually because of corona. I happened to walk by in the background of his video. I was scouted from this short background-clip, and from there, the ball hit the ground rolling. After a few agency meetings, I signed with Ford Models in August of 2020.
— Among your friends or family, what are you famous for?
When I asked my friends and family, I was told, “You are famous for your endless amounts of determination, along with being clever and being kind.”
— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
I am truly passionate about giving back. I am grateful for all that I have in my life, and I wish to help others as much as I can. At my school, I am the director of community service, and I get to volunteer and set up service projects to help members of my community.
