— Among your friends or family, what are you famous for?
For singing. I’m a person who can’t sing but I sing a lot and loudly, anywhere and anytime.

— The most interesting thing about your family?
I was raised in a huge family; four brothers, one sister, and a lot of pets. A few years ago we moved out to the countryside, just to enjoy farm life. Nature and animals are two things we truly admire.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. If you will be at the same place as me, you will surely hear me. I speak and laugh out loud.
2. I love to compete. I’m not always winning, but I play to win. I think I have fighter mode because I was raised with 4 brothers in a house.
3. I like to organize everything, but doing everything at the very last moment… because I know that I’m the most efficient when I’m having less time. For example, you can do homework in 30 minutes instead of 3 hours.

— Who is your favorite entertainer
Matthew McConaughey. I think he is the greatest actor in the world, the way he’s immersing himself in the character, and I get captivated by his unique style and charming acting skills. Besides, I also appreciate his body management. He is the one I dream to become.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you:
Well, I think most people do not know I have a huge interest in art and culture, people maybe call this kind of person a hipster? I’m not so sure how to say in English :P

— How and when did you become a model?
When I was a young kid, I learned about the profession of modeling through Hu Bing, who is famous as a model in China. And then, after I gave up my basketball training due to injury, I decided to be a model and make an effort to learn professional skills in modeling. Fortunately, I passed the casting of my agency in Guangzhou and became a model.

— One thing people may be surprised to find out about you?

I’ve been knitting for maybe my whole life. I started learning how to knit when I was 4. My mom taught me how because she also enjoys knitting and I found it satisfying. I’m currently knitting a cardigan actually!

— Something you are self-conscious about?

Maybe my nose. I grew up seeing beautiful people with long noses and for the longest time, now still really, I wanted them as well. I’ve had people telling me I have a bad nose and that really adds to the self-consciousness that’s already there. Now, I’m really trying to accept it more and also realise that maybe I don’t have a long skinny nose because I don’t have the face for that and this is the perfect nose for me.

— An issue and cause you’re passionate about?
I care so much about equality. I genuinely believe everyone in this world is equal and it’s so upsetting and confusing to see so many people having fewer rights or privilege over something they can’t control like skin color, gender, religion, etc.

— Something you wish you knew more about:
I would love to learn more languages. I only know fragments of a couple at the moment but I have a lot of appreciation for those souls who know and speak multiple.

— Best and worst personality traits:
Considering I’m a Libra, I think there’s a correlation that my best trait would be my even temper. I try to always remain as peaceful as possible regardless of the situation, and it takes a lot to ever get me angry. My worst would be my indecisiveness, however. That trips me up. Like the impossibility of deciding where to eat sometimes.

— An issue or cause you’re passionate about:
Wildlife and nature itself on many levels, but specifically, the Orangutan Project. A project essentially saving, protecting, and rehabilitating orangutans.

Tamar

Who:
Tamar de Haan; 176 cm / 5’9.5″; Dutch from Almere, The Netherlands; born August 1st.

— Who is someone you admire and why?
My grandmother, she has the best clothing style and paints and clays like the best. When I grow up, I want to be as cool as my grandmother. My grandmother is also super strong, she has managed to survive cancer several times and can still chat wonderfully. My grandmother also taught me how to sew and express myself in creative ways.

— Who is your favorite entertainer?
Emma Watson, I think she is really awesome. She is committed to feminism, a great actress and even a model. I also was a little in love with Hermione Granger… Watson was an important role model in my youth and even today.

— What are three interesting facts about you?
Interesting facts about me, I am quite different from the rest I think :))
1. I read a lot of literature. My favorite writer is Isabel Allende. My family says I’m addicted, although I think it’s not that bad.
2. I paint and draw almost every day. I love to make portraits.
3. I also participate in a sport that is not widely practiced called bouldering. This is climbing on a wall not higher than four meters without a rope. I climbed before I could walk, preferably in trees. Happily, my father loves to climb too, so we do this every Friday in the bouldering hall.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about:
The war against the mafia symbolized to me by Giovanni Falcone and Giuseppe Borsellino, who died for the cause.

— Something you are self-conscious about:
I am aware of having a transversal knowledge due to my classical studies and personal tastes in music, theater, cinema, literature…

— What are three interesting facts about you?
1. I was born in Italy but my parents are Albanian.
2. I attended classical high school where I studied Latin and Ancient Greek.
3. I’m a passionate person, when I’m keen on something I give my 100% on it.
