Laia

Who:

Laia Llurba, 178 cm / 5’10”, Spanish, born May 29th.

We Asked:

— The best and worst aspects of your personality?

I consider myself as a funny and very generous person. At first, you can picture me as an introverted person, but when you get to know me and we actually start trusting each other I tend to be very open and secure about myself. I have a very strong personality, and if I am in a bad mood or having a bad day I can get a little bit irritating if I am being honest. But when I realize it I regret my awful behaviour, I apologize and I also try to change my mood.

— An issue or cause you are passionate about?

I’m very interested about climate change and the danger that we’re personally putting ourselves into. It’s a fact. The earth is in danger. We have to be self-conscious about it, stop making excuses and start thinking globally and act locally. Our society tends to be very selfish and does not actually act for a common good and a reality that will ultimately affect us all equally.

— What is something you wish you knew more about?

I would love to know more about human behavior. Psychology in general. I would also like to know more about criminal minds. I suppose I am very much interested in these aspects because of my long history/record of TV shows that I have watched throughout the years related to serial killers, psychopaths, criminals and their behaviors. Like for example the famous TV show called Castle. I loved that show.

Lorenz

Who:

Lorenz Mehrlein, 190 cm / 6’3″, German, born December 18th.

We Asked:

— Who is someone you admire and why?

I admire Peter Lindbergh because of his impressive skills and powerful influence in the world of photography. He had the gift of seeing his subject. Not just as an object he uses to reflect light or sell a particular item of clothing, but as a person. This is what inspires me every time when I take part behind the scenes using my camera and trying my best at shooting some portraits of other people.

— What is an issue or cause you are passionate about?

I’m really passionate about the idea of challenging and improving oneself every single day – not meant as of being a perfectionist. Rather for my social and ecological environment: being a karma driven person I put great value on nutrition, health, body control and social skills. Not finding myself in comfort zone but making today count is the central idea of what I try to live like.

— What is something you wish you knew more about?

It’s definitely languages. I admire people’s skills of speaking many different languages fluently. I’m convinced this is the key to better understanding the world’s multicultural identity.
