How discovered:
I was at a music festival called Veld in Toronto when my mother agent came up to me and asked if I was represented. I said no and he gave me his card. I was a little skeptical at first since I’d never thought I could be a model. Since I wasn’t living in Toronto at the time it took six months for me to meet up with him and do a test shoot.

What was your first modeling job?
I debuted for Calvin Klein W205 as an exclusive for the show. It was insane, as the first thing that I did, everything blew me away. The walk, the set, the crowd, the cameras, hair and makeup teams were everywhere, I was taken aback. What amplified this was the fact that CK205 was such a huge show, celebrities were there and all the hype surrounding the collection was crazy.

Favorite designer/brand/product:
Raf Simons is great everywhere he goes and great with his own brand every single season.

What’s your beauty routine?
I like to keep it simple, moisturize in the morning and wash my face at night. I only wash my hair once every few days because it gets super dry if I shampoo it every day.

Favorite modeling experience so far?
Valentino Tokyo was an amazing experience for me. It was my first time in Asia and I absolutely loved it, the flight was pretty tough but once I got there, I was amazed. The city is so beautiful and the shopping is next level.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling? Or what do you want to do after modeling?
If I wasn’t modeling, I would go to university and be a student. I think that’s what I’ll do after modeling as well.

Which brand would you really love to model for?
I would love to work with Nike; if I had a basketball ad that would be the dream campaign. Raptors just won the NBA championship!

Some of your favorite things:
Basketball is my favorite sport, can’t live without my phone, and I love going to parties.

My favorite movie is Grave of the Fireflies and favorite show is Mad Men.

How was your life different 12 months ago?
A year ago I was doing my first fashion week in Milan, thinking back on it I was a newbie and didn’t really know what I was doing.

What always makes you laugh?
Megamind.

Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
Currently, I’m obsessed with watching videos of Toronto celebrating the finals win and videos of Kawhi laughing and being happy.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
If you’re 15 minutes early you’re on time, if you’re on time you’re late, if you’re late you’re fired.
