How discovered:
I was in school for nursing, and working at a family health center in Sao Paulo. The people at my work always told me I should become a model, but I never believed them. At my first casting, beautiful girls were walking out of the room with tears in their eyes. I was the last girl to be seen, and the only one to be signed. I am still with the same booker that discovered me, Clovis Pessoa. He helped me to become a real model. I had no sense of how it worked. Two years later, I had a meeting with Luiz Mattos, and it changed my life forever. I got signed to IMG. He’s my hero and I am so thankful to him and the IMG team for always being by my side.

Favorite things:
I love to play games with my daughter. She’s my sunshine, and there is never a bad time with her. I love to surf with my family even though I’m not that good at it I have soo much fun trying to stand on that board hahah

What are you listening to at the moment?
I was in Costa Rica. I just got back, and the only thing I listened to was reggaeton, haha. I love all kind of music. I think that it is one of the best ways to express yourself. Happiness, sadness or whatever you are in the mood for. And music is one of the things that made me fall in love with my fiancé. Music can bring people together. It’s a blessing

Favorite movie, tv show:
American Horror Story: Hotel. Obsessed. I love it.

Favorite designer, fragrance or beauty product:
I have a really flexible, undefined style. I’m always changing. But at the moment, I really like KTZ and Public School. But I can go from that to McQueen and Givenchy in a second.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modeling?
I probably would be a nurse. I love to help people. I want to volunteer with foundations that help educate children without opportunity. I’m also passionate about the Indigenous people of Brazil, and their struggles. I believe that education can change people mentalities, and the Indigenous people of the world know the fundamental principles to help the environment.

What’s something uncool that you love anyway?
I love my record player and I use film camera.

Favorite modeling experience so far?
In the beginning of my career I had a shoot with Paolo Roversi for Italian Vogue. I thought at the time that it would be really difficult, and that people would be rude to me. Especially because I didn’t speak English at the time. But it was the opposite. They were all really nice, and Paolo talked with me in all the languages he knew to help me understand. At the end of the shoot, I felt so good. I started to love what I did, and I forgot about all the difficult moments I had.

What’s the best thing about your hometown/country?
Brazilian people know how to appreciate life. Even in the worst situations, they have hope in their hearts. They are amazing and happy people. You’re never going to ask for a glass of water, or a plate of rice and beans, and have a Brazilian say no.

Which brand would you really love to model for?
I love everything about Givenchy. It would be a dream to close a show. I really respect Steven Meisel. I also would have loved to work with Helmut Newton (dreams)

Place you would love to visit:
The Seychelles. I want to see a Coco De Mer in person

Currently you’re obsessed with/about:
I’m trying to be vegan. I watched a documentary called Conspiracy, and I can’t get over the footprint that we make when we eat meat. Everyone should watch it.
