Born in Kherson, Ukraine, Yura began his artistic journey at the age of 6, exploring various forms of expression, from painting and dance to sculpting and fashion design. At just a young age, he presented his first student collection of fashion pieces crafted from second-hand materials. Following the occupation of Kherson by Russian military forces in August, Yura was forced to emigrate to the Netherlands, where he currently resides.
Yura's breakthrough came with his debut as a worldwide exclusive for the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2023 show in Paris, a moment that launched him into the international fashion scene. Since then, he has collaborated with some of the industry's most renowned creatives, including Steven Meisel, Olivier Rizzo, Thue Nørgaard, Vanessa Reid, Lotta Volkova, Robbie Spencer, Elodie David, Viviane Sassen, Katie Shillingford, Marie Chaix, Liv Liberg, Isabelle Sayer, Helena Tejedor, and Guen Fiore.
His runway appearances include prestigious shows for brands like Coach, Simone Rocha, Sportmax, Andreadamo, Courrèges, Coperni, and Stella McCartney, while his collaboration with Miu Miu has led to several high-profile campaigns.
Yura’s editorial work has garnered attention in leading publications such as M Le Monde (photographed by Karim Sadli and Brian Molloy), The Face (by Sharna Osborne and Danny Reed), Purple Magazine (shot by Esther Theaker and Robbie Spencer), and recent covers for Vogue Korea, Vogue Ukraine, and AnOther Magazine.
