Born in Kherson, Ukraine, Yura first began his artistic journey at age 6 when he enrolled in "The Tavrium Art Lyceum". As a young teen, Yura started participating in local art contests for sculptures and decorative arts, winning certificates and medals. It was at this early age that Yura discovered his passion for recycled fashion. Within a couple of years, he presented his first student collection of fashion pieces made from second-hand materials. Following the occupation of Kherson by Russian military forces last August, Yura was forced to immigrate to Holland, where he currently resides.
Yura made his first debut as a worldwide exclusive for Miu Miu SS23 show in Paris, leading him to work with major industry creatives such as The Norgaard, Vanessa Reid, Lotta Volkova, Robbie Spencer, Elodie David, Touboul Vanessa Reid, Viviane Sassen, Katie Shillingford, Marie Chaix, Liv Liberg, Isabelle Sayer, Helena Tejedor, and Guen Fiore.
Yura has since walked for renowned brands including Simone Rocha, Sportmax, Andreadamo, Courrèges, Coperni, Stella McCartney and more while shooting multiple campaigns for Miu Miu.
Yura shines in recent editorial work for M Le Monde shot by Karim Sadli and Brian Molloy, The Face shot by Sharna Osborne and Danny Reed, Purple Magazine shot by Esther Theaker and Robbie Spencer and his recent covers for Vogue Korea, Vogue Ukraine and AnOther Magazine.
