Heather Diamond Strongarm is a Canadian of First Nations descent who resides on the Fishing Lake First Nation, located in Saskatchewan, Canada. She is Saulteaux-Cree and one of very few in the world who speaks the traditional Nakawe language. She is also a jingle dancer who performs traditional healing dances in the Indigenous culture. Heather dreams of attending university to become a social worker.
Since debuting on the Proenza Schouler runway in 2023, Heather has gone on to work for brands like Bottega Veneta, Chloe, Max Mara, Versace, and many more. In her first season, she became the first model of indigenous background to open the Dior show in Paris. She has collaborated with industry giants such as Steven Meisel, Tonne Goodman, Alastair McKimm, Carlos Nazario, Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Imruh Asha, Guido Palau, and Pat McGrath.
For many years, Heather has been a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals as well as the MMIW movement. As she embarks on the journey of a fashion model, she is excited to learn about the industry and how she can serve as a role model to her Indigenous community.
