Athena’s make up work pushes the boundaries on what's possible with cosmetics. Pulling inspiration from her activism work, she uses the body as a canvas to create a beautiful and surreal fantasy.

Cruelty-Free Beauty is central to Athena’s ethos towards make up, having an entirely cruelty-free kit is a route she started in 2014 this is only one of the ways in which she advocates for the cause. Athena held the role of Dazed Beauty Environmental Editor, commissioning sustainable beauty projects and focusing on raising awareness and change towards environmental factors within the fashion and beauty industry.

Athena also raises awareness for mental health issues, collaborating with mental health charities including Samaritans, as well as casting diversely with representation from the POC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Creating a safe space within the industry and her personal beauty projects is of paramount importance.

Over her ten year career Athena has collaborated with Dazed, i-D, The Face, Lea Colombo, Nadine Ijewere, Rosie Marks, Emma Wyman, Danny Reed; and brands that include Bottega Veneta, Valentino, Loewe, Burberry and Gucci.
