A pure, unpretentious project that turned into a little work of art with<br \/>\nmy signature. I think those are truly honest photos. Mainly portraits of women<br \/>\nI have known for a long time and whose hair I have styled thousands times.<br \/>\nWe have worked a lot on this project and I have been able to put my experience<br \/>\nat stake. That was rock\u2019n\u2019roll, women were coming to stay only a couple of<br \/>\nhours, like at the doctor\u2019s office. Instantly, they were gorgeous. With Gisele we<br \/>\nhad just 20 minutes. I mean, you couldn\u2019t even change your mind, so we didn\u2019t<br \/>\nsearch originality at all costs, it\u2019s been all so natural and with no expectations.<br \/>\nWe just wanted to have fun, it was a special atmosphere, with music turned on<br \/>\nall time. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:16px;\">I think today\u2019s fashion is afraid to take risks and in this project we wanted to<br \/>\nbe totally free and anarchic, I would say more freestyle. Today\u2019s fashion is a<br \/>\nHell\u2019s circus, a creativity jungle \u2013 which I like \u2013 and keeps me in a challenge.<br \/>\nPoet Edgar Lee Masters wrote: \u201cAnd catch the winds of destiny wherever they<br \/>\ndrive the boat\u201d. You must not be afraid of daring, you must get on with it and<br \/>\neven go wrong. Sometimes I failed, but what matters is that I did it. If I am<br \/>\nwho I am today is because I haven\u2019t done what my family wanted me to do.<br \/>\nWell no, I have done the opposite instead. They wanted me to be an engineer.<br \/>\nWhile shooting these pictures I was not interested in the trend of the moment,<br \/>\nI wanted to create a long-lasting something, devoted to all the women who<br \/>\ninspire me and embody my style. I held a casting with very different charming<br \/>\nwomen, each one in her own right. The women I think of are many more, but<br \/>\ntime is not unlimited. For sure, this is not a hair story, I even limited myself<br \/>\nwith hair in respect of the individuality of every model, I wanted to make them<br \/>\nbeautiful according to their own personality. I am very much into women\u2019s<br \/>\nattitude: that is what I usually call my muses\u2019 attitude. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height:16px;\">I wanted to blend bad taste with good taste. As Marlene Dietrich said, as long<br \/>\nas it\u2019s not kitsch is fine. I think that a certain amount of bad taste makes things<br \/>\nbrilliant. A perfect woman with a clashing element is very fascinating to me.<br \/>\nWe are never attracted by perfection, we find it banal, in the end.<br \/>\nMy sources of inspiration have always been fashion, music, street style, cinema<br \/>\nand art. I have always had strong references to music. Madonna, for instance,<br \/>\nhas always inspired me. She\u2019s a beautiful woman with a boundless talent.<br \/>\nNevertheless, I am not a psycho-fan, I\u2019ve never had a poster in my bedroom.<br \/>\nI\u2019m dazzled by the relationship between two individuals, and I love people<br \/>\nfor what they are. The qualities I most appreciate in a person are clearness,<br \/>\ngenerosity, honesty, and creativity. If we have it, it\u2019s a good start.
