Too often elegance and modernity are separate entities in fashion; most collections are either wholly refined and utterly boring, or innovative yet unwearable. Preen&#8217;s Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi have found the point where beauty and ingenuity meet, their streamlined fall collection features a bold set of nuanced shapes and striking colors. The influence of the California Arts and Crafts movement is evident in the geometric prints reminiscent of Batchelder tiles. Art history references aside, Preen has plenty of offer in terms of sleek shapes and cuts. Everything was there this season; pencil skirts with slits  down the middle, belted dresses and blouses, crystal embellishments and of course a touch of fur.
