Discovered at Howard University\u2019s Homecoming in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BahqMEDh22W\/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng%3D%3D&#038;img_index=1\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">now-viral Instagram image<\/a>, the South Sudanese American model has always understood the power of social media and has used her platform to stand up for herself, pushing against straightening her natural hair and the carbon-copy beauty that once plagued catwalks.
