After meeting by chance in college they started a jewelry line in 2008 that was influenced by their two different backgrounds, Verbal as a hip-hop musician and Yoon as a graphic designer. \u201cWhen we started to shoot look books early on, we needed clothes for the models and didn\u2019t want to use other brands,\u201d the duo recall. &#8220;From there, to have a complete control of the images we started to make a few tops. Eventually a few tops led us to where we are now and the response has been real good!&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"quote\">\n &#8220;No matter what genre, we are influenced by people who stand their ground in their expression and inspire to capture that spirit in our creations.&#8221;\n  <\/div>\n<p>The couple were drawn strongly to punk culture and music (Kanye West and Pharrell Williams are fans) the latter\u2019s influence has been the driving force for the company. \u201cNo matter what genre, we are influenced by people who stand their ground in their expression and inspire to capture that spirit in our creations.\u201d Founded in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo, the energy of the city and blurred lines for gender roles in fashion provided the constant inspiration for the pair\u2019s collection. First launched in November 2013, the LVMH Prize was created to help celebrate rising design talent and encourage their growth, with the winner receiving both a 300,000 euro grant and a year of technical and financial support from the LVMH Foundation\u2019s experts. These eight young designers from across the globe reflect the industry\u2019s international reach, demonstrating expansive visions in an era of ever-tightening horizons. As barriers go up across borders and the world turns inward, they offer a reassuring reminder that creativity is about confronting the foreign and finding yourself changed for the better.<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be selected by a jury comprised of some of fashion\u2019s most notable creators, from Marc Jacobs and Karl Lagerfeld to Riccardo Tisci and J.W. Anderson, overseen by LVMH\u2019s Delphine Arnault \u2014 a group that should have no trouble picking a standout talent.
