\nJeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra have always presented a vision of modern feminity, but for S\/S 11, the designers head into sophisticated new territory. The spring collection refined their glamorous aesthetic and made it even more palatable by eschewing fussy frills for a muted palette and flowing silhouette. Embracing simplicity and functionality without sacrificing style, the series of draped dresses in the duo’s signature jersey and the corresponding dove gray jumpsuit are sure to fly off shelves. Given their status as reigning masters of draping, we’ve come to expect Costello to produce a new twist on the staple each season, this time around there is no reinventing the wheel, but the asymmetrical sepia hued numbers looked phenomenal and that’s what counts. While the focus lay on subdued finery, the array of subtly metallic prints and punchy touches of color didn’t go unnoticed; onlookers marveled at the richness of the citron colored sheath on Atuai Deng and the ultra-luxe rose number during the finale.\n<\/div>\n
