Si tu mets ton corps plus en valeur que ton esprit, tu g\u00e2ches un peu ton temps, tu ne fait pas des choses tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressantes, en fin ce n\u2019est pas aussi cat\u00e9gorique que \u00e7a bien s\u00fbr.<\/p>\n<p>Quand je suis arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 Nice \u00e0 14 ans, mes parents m&#8217;ont dit: si tu veux quelque chose, tu te l&#8217;ach\u00e8tes, et quand j\u2019ai fini mes \u00e9tudes, je me suis dis: quel est le travail super plaisant qui rapporte le plus? On travail \u00e9norm\u00e9ment, mais on voyage dans le monde entier,  et on est bien pay\u00e9, et on me le propose. Et en plus bien sure j\u2019adore la dimension artistique, il y a plein de m\u00e9tiers o\u00f9 on peut faire de l\u2019argent, mais dans le mannequinat c\u2019est vrai qu\u2019il y a une dimension artistique, le langage corporel, l\u2019usage du corps, la communication avec les gens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"interviewenglish rside\">\n<strong>Did you have an interest in modeling or fashion before starting as a model?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I had always been approached about it, even while going to Disney World in the US  with my parents when I was small, someone had told my parents \u201cyou should sign her up in an agency and have her to do shows.\u201d When I arrived in Nice, I was often approached in the street and I always turned it down.. because in my family it is not physical appearances that are prized, it is the mind. If you value your body more than your mind you are wasting your time a little, not doing very interesting things, but that said it wasn\u2019t that categorical of course.<\/p>\n<p>When I was 14, my parents told me if you want something you will have to buy it. So when I finished my studies, I asked myself: what is a job that pays well, while working the least and is enjoyable? We travel all over the world, sometimes you work a lot and other times just a few hours, you are paid really well, and it is being offered to me. J&#8217;\u00e9tais \u00e9puis\u00e9e et j\u2019avais pris un break. C\u2019est pendant mon break que Bonello est venu prendre contact, suite a une recommandation qu\u2019Amira Casar lui avait faite apr\u00e8s m\u2019avoir vue pendant la soir\u00e9e Chanel Paris\/Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p>Je n\u2019avais pas pr\u00eat\u00e9 attention \u00e0 la demande au d\u00e9but, et j\u2019ai fini par me rendre compte que c&#8217;\u00e9tait le r\u00e9alisateur de l\u2019Appolonide, un film que j\u2019avais vraiment ador\u00e9, du coup j&#8217;\u00e9tais ravie. Dans ma t\u00e8te je n\u2019ai jamais voulu faire un film pour faire un film. Je ne voulais pas devenir une caricature de la mannequin qui devient actrice. Je voulais qu\u2019il y ait vraiment de la substance et que ce ne soit pas traditionnel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"interviewenglish rside\">\n<strong>How did the opportunity to shoot the Saint Laurent film with Bonello come along?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was actually following a time when I was in very high demand, day to day management had become complicated. I was exhausted and decided to take a break. It was during my break that Bonello approached me, on a recommendation from Amira Casar who had seen me during the Chanel Paris\/Edinburgh show.<\/p>\n<p>At first I had not paid attention to it, but then I realized that it was the director of the Apollonide, a film I adore, so I was thrilled. In my mind I had never wanted to just do a film, if I was to do one I didn\u2019t want to be a caricature of a model turned actress. Elle n\u2019a aucun carcan, elle ne pense pas en fonction de ce que la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 attend d\u2019elle, mais sans se poser la question ou en essayant de se lib\u00e9rer de quoi que ce soit, elle le fait. C\u2019est encore autre chose, par exemple, moi je le fais mais je me pose des questions.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est pour \u00e7a aussi que j\u2019ai port\u00e9 un costume \u00e0 Cannes. Il y avait une dimension philosophique. Je l\u2019ai fait par facilit\u00e9 dans un premier temps, pour une premi\u00e8re mont\u00e9e des marches, j\u2019avais envie de profiter, mais je me suis aussi dit qu\u2019en plus \u00e7a aurait un impacte par rapport aux femmes, le fait que les femmes peuvent se sentir belles et s\u00e9duisantes dans un costume port\u00e9 comme un homme. Beaucoup de femmes m\u2019ont dit qu\u2019elles avaient ador\u00e9, que \u00e7a leur avait donn\u00e9 envie de porter un costume, qu\u2019elles m\u2019avaient trouv\u00e9e belle et sexy. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"interviewenglish rside\">\n<strong>What does Betty Catroux represent for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She represents the modern woman, the free spirit. She has no constraints, she doesn\u2019t think about what society expects of her, she doesn\u2019t even ask herself the question or tries to free herself from anything, she just does what she wants. And it is something else, even if I do what I want, I am aware that I shouldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also why I wore a suit at Cannes. There was a philosophical aspect to it, at first I did it for comfort, for a first time going up the steps I wanted to take advantage of it, but I also thought it would offer a broader scope to women, that women could feel beautiful and seductive in a suit worn like a man. Je pense qu\u2019elle est beaucoup plus l\u00e9g\u00e8re que moi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Est-ce que tu l\u2019as rencontr\u00e9e? \u00c9tait-ce avant le tournage?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>J\u2019ai eu la chance de la rencontrer une seule fois, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 charmante, mais c&#8217;\u00e9tait apr\u00e8s le tournage malheureusement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C\u2019est peut-\u00eatre mieux dans un sens?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Probablement, mais j\u2019aurais quand m\u00eame pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 la rencontrer avant, de ressentir l&#8217;\u00e9nergie qu\u2019elle d\u00e9gage, quelque chose qui est impossible a voire sur une vid\u00e9o ou une photo. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Comment t\u2019es-tu pr\u00e9par\u00e9e au r\u00f4le?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>J\u2019ai d\u2019abord eu une premi\u00e8re phase o\u00f9 j\u2019ai vraiment fait une boulimie d\u2019information, j\u2019ai tout collect\u00e9, lu, relu, re-regard\u00e9 en boucle. Tout \u00e7a en m\u2019isolant un peu, j\u2019avais compl\u00e8tement arr\u00eat\u00e9 le mannequinat. \u00c0 partir du moment o\u00f9 j&#8217;\u00e9tais impliqu\u00e9e dans le projet, pendant plusieurs mois, de Mars jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la fin de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e, j\u2019ai tout arr\u00eat\u00e9 pour me consacrer \u00e0 cent pour cent au film.  <\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 sortir un peu, parce que d\u2019habitude, je ne sors pas plus que \u00e7a, je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les bars. Mais bien s\u00fbr, j\u2019ai des copines qui adorent les boites, du coup j\u2019observais la nuit, comment les gens se comportent, comme la communication verbale est r\u00e9duite \u00e0 du paraverbal. Il n\u2019y a pas besoin d\u2019en faire des tonnes, ils veulent juste un salut, un signe de la main, ou un coup dans le dos. C&#8217;\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 voir..<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"interviewenglish rside\">\n<strong>So you weren\u2019t just a good fit for the role for your appearance, but also for your views on life, does Betty Catroux correspond to your idea of the modern woman?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I think so, but the biggest difference between me and Betty Catroux is that I think she had the chance to live in a period that was far more liberated. I think she is a lot more carefree than me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did you meet her? Was it before shooting?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I met her just once, she was charming, but it was after shooting unfortunately.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Was it maybe better in one way?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Maybe, but I would still have preferred to meet her first, to feel her energy, something that is impossible to capture just from a photo or video.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you prepare for the role?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First I binged on information, I collected everything, read, re-read, and watched everything over and over again. I did all this while isolating myself, I had completely stopped modeling. From the time I started working on the film, during several months, from March to the end of the year I stopped everything to concentrate a hundred percent on the film.<\/p>\n<p>After I finished I started going out a bit, usually I am not a nightlife person, I prefer bars. But I have girlfriends that love clubs of course, so I would observe, how people behave at night, how verbal communications are reduced to a paraverbal form. You don\u2019t need to do a lot, they just want a wave or a nod, or a pat on the back.
