Everything in the Wu world is crafted with visual splendor in mind. You see it in the details &#8211; from his supermodel studded runway lineup, to his impressive collaborations with cosmetics giant Lancome &#8211; Wu gets beauty. For spring the designer\u2019s devotion to the subject matter inspired a fittingly pretty collection, but don\u2019t expect frou-frou. The choice of thinking man\u2019s supermodel, Saskia de Brauw as opener served to presage a collection marked by pared down elegance and an introspective take on luxury. <\/p>\n<p>The opening looks with their paint spattered olive drab called to mind camouflage minus the military undertones and said a lot about spring\u2019s femme du jour &#8211; a woman fearless with her fashion choices yet understated enough to prefer a subtle nod rather than an overt reference. Subtly was key this season and though Wu experimented with an array of prints, textures and shapes, simplicity served as the uniting factor. American sportswear is known for its pragmatism and Wu stayed true to the the \u201ckeep it simple, keep it easy\u201d mantra by creating a full-wardrobe for the successful woman. The perfect pencil skirt, the ideal loose trouser, the sheer cocktail dress to end all cocktail dresses &#8211; it was all there and looking irresistible on the chic cast. Nothing beats a crowd-pleaser and Wu delivered, as the collection moved from monochromatic day looks towards sparkling evening wear its appeal became even more evident. Making a slouchy trench and skirt combo look effortless is a feat, but conveying that vibe with slinky sequins and navel grazing cuts is an art. <\/p>\n<div id=\"introcredits\">\n<a
