Working with a rich palette of black, burgundy, and midnight blue, Zucchelli injected a hint of a military vibe this season, as in Hao Yunxiang&#8217;s cargo jacket, or the external side pockets on Simone Nobili&#8217;s slim trousers. The future-minded designer also took herringbone and quilting to new heights, adding shimmer and levity to the old-school fabrics. Many of the pieces also had a smooth sheen, but in Zucchelli&#8217;s hands the bouncing light seemed a reflection of modernity itself, and not just flash for its own sake. There was also an emphasis on the brand&#8217;s characteristic sharp suiting, like Matt Woodhouse&#8217;s sleek gray two-tone blazer, perfectly cut and unimpeachably strong. Zucchelli has never been one to shy away from pushing forward into unknown territory, and though he&#8217;s sometimes overreached, Fall 2013 hit the mark.<\/p>\n<p>Photos: <a
