In a Spring 2013 collection that was all about ease and athleticism, Chai showed pieces for both genders that played off the same themes\u2014light, sheer fabrics; a pale sky blue; high-tech fabrics\u2014with a graphically modernist twist. There was a clean weightlessness to many of the floating skirts, often paired above with tops that looks like sports bras, sometimes livened up with a nubby floral print. The men had equally lightweight pieces of their own, like Alexander Beck&#8217;s translucent shirt. There was a sporty color blocking element as well, as in the white daggers slicing down the sides of Miles McMillan&#8217;s trousers, or in the strict geometry of Malcolm de Ruiter&#8217;s jacket. Chai closed with a series of dazzling, shimmering looks, from Alana Zimmer&#8217;s luminous hologram-print dress to Liu Wen&#8217;s bejeweled t-shirt, a fitting close to a collection that started off
