Leather patches and padding toughened up a series of modernist coats and jackets, and the collection made a strong case for burgundy and khaki as colors of the season. Coppens&#8217; vision for the future of menswear came through clearly\u2014the look was clean and sleek with a powerful edge\u2014and he proved himself to be top on the list of young New York
