Each season Models.com assembles a list of the top achieving newcomers and models having their breakout moments tallied from the New York to Paris fashion weeks. Requirements for the honored position? For Spring / Summer 2018 there was no shortage of success stories who, between walking for the major brands, landing exclusives slots and securing pivotal opening and closing spots, shared in common their noteworthy seasons. Ana Maria Figueroa
Since Ana Maria’s debut at Prada’s resort show in May, this Dominican stunner has had her eyes on the prize for her first full season. Going on from London with Versus and Roksanda she went on to the remaining two fashion capitals with fervor landing Fendi, Missoni, Lanvin, Acne, Givenchy, Giambattista Valli and Hermes.

Hannah Claverie
Australian new face Hannah Claverie stepped onto the scene in Londontown with double bookings at J.W. Anderson and Christopher Kane before landing the show that’s launched a hundred careers, Prada. Her trip to Paris delivered fruitfully with walks for Dior, Loewe, Givenchy, Valentino and a closing spot at Nina Ricci. Who knew pretty could pack a punch?

Hannah Motler
Hannah is the heavenly sprite that makes any runway a little more dreamy. Based on the across-the-board top bookings there isn’t a market that wouldn’t love to have Miss Motler. In New York Calvin Klein, Helmut Lang, Coach, Marc Jacobs came calling; in London J.W. Anderson, Versus (opened) Burberry; in Milan Prada, Fendi, Versace; in Paris Dior, Margiela, Dries Van Noten (opened), Givenchy, Valentino, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton. Basically the phones were ringing off the hook for this new arrival!

Hannah Sprehe
Take note: Hannah Sprehe did the single-city boogie and nailed it. Starting her circuit late in Paris, the German jewel exclusively debuted her precious face for Saint Laurent. From there it was turns down the runway for Loewe, Givenchy, Giambattista (opened), McQueen, Chanel, Louis Vuitton. How do you say… crème de la crème.

Kaia Gerber
We’re not keeping score but it’s safe to say that Kaia Gerber was the bonafide winner of fashion week. With certified opening spots with the gentry of luxury – Chanel, Fendi, and Alexander Wang were just a noteworthy few – along with walks for Calvin Klein, Burberry, Prada, Versace, Valentino and Miu Miu made sure she grabbed the best gigs with every pitstop. Rookie no more.

Kiko Arai
Can’t get enough of Kiko! This Miss Japan proposition (she won in 2012) was held in high regard for her debut season. She regimented her appearances to Calvin Klein, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Lanvin, Balmain and Givenchy, leaving us totally wanting more.

Line Kjaergaard
It seems that every season another ineffably cool girl is added to the Danish model mafia, and this season that girl is without doubt Line Kjaergaard. Intense and straightforwardly striking, in her first season Line strode the catwalks of Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Jil Sander, Valentino and Chloe (not to mention many, many others) with the laser-like focus of a seasoned veteran. How’s that for hygge?

Maryna Horda
There’s always a spot for a girl who just screams cute. We heard you, Maryna. The baby-faced, Belarussian beauty was an impeccable addition to A-listers Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Margiela, Valentino and Miu Miu for her first fashion month–and definitely not her last.

Matea Brakus
An exclusive debut for Matea at Yves Saint Laurent was all it took to take this budding newcomer to the casting forefront. From there her Paris was stellar walking in the collections that mattered from Chanel to McQueen to Loewe and a closing spot at Giambattista Valli.

Oumie Jammeh
From dancehall to the runway everyone noticed Gambian new face Oumie this season. With her first full show season it was in London that she really picked up speed, racking up an endless roster of clients that read like Madison Avenue – Prada, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Givenchy and in the iconic Versace show, alongside her catwalk hero Naomi Campbell.

Roos van Elk
Another stunner to materialise out of nowhere and debut as a Prada exclusive, Roos’ S/S 18 mission was clear: only the best will do. In Paris, Saint Laurent, Chloe, Celine, Valentino, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton all fell under the spell of this mysterious meisje.

Runa Neuwirth
A classic brunette beauty from Frankfurt, Runa went from her first ever photo shoot in April to walking the Prada Resort runway in May. This season she started at J.W. Anderson in London and ended at Chanel in Paris (with plenty of hits in-between), making it clear that charming Runa is living her very own version of an overnight success story.

Silke van Daal
The results are in for Dutch newcomer Silke van Daal. She is a certified show contender. She walked away from the Spring Summer 2018 runways with plenty of blue-chips to play with: Calvin Klein, Prada, Fendi, Versace, Dior, Givenchy, Valentino, to name a few.

Sophie Martynova
Serene stunner Sophie has had a debut season that could only be described as impeccable. This Russian rose was revealed at Calvin Klein in NY and continued on to walk for Coach, Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, Dolce and Gabbana, and Miu Miu. Na Zdorovie!

Xie Chaoyu
As of just a few months ago, Chaoyu was an elfin ingenue from southwestern China with absolutely no international modelling experience… and then she hit London. From J.W. Anderson to Prada to Givenchy, this pretty pixie’s iconic looks have proven irresistible.

Aaliyah Hydes
Hailing from the Cayman Islands, Aaliyah Hydes finally caught her stride this season after an exclusive debut for Gucci F/W 17 in February, starting off this season at the grand finale of NYFW, Marc Jacobs. From there Hydes was moving on up with a strong London at J.W. Anderson and Burberry, a formidable Milan with Gucci and Bottega Veneta, and a smooth finish in Paris with Loewe, Celine, and Miu Miu. One in a million!

Adut Akech
Striking in presence, regal in demeanor, South Sudanese Adut Akech has been steady on the fashion elite’s radar with consistent exclusive appearances on YSL’s runways and ads. After closing YSL this season, she finally broke free from restriction with stellar spots at Lanvin, Off-White, Kenzo, Loewe, Alexander McQueen, and Miu Miu.

Alyssa Traore
Alyssa’s modelling journey started way back when she was scouted at the age of 11 in her hometown of Nijmegen, but her catwalking career dates back to Spring/Summer 2017. Now, with a year of full time modelling and travel under her belt, this diplomatic Dutchie has come into her own, and everyone from Raf at Calvin to Sarah at McQueen knows it.

Ansley Gulielmi
Ansley’s runway record is finally catching up with her winning coolness. Since she opened Marni F/W 17 she’s been bagging bookings, but Spring Summer is her trophy season. Sies Marjan, Prada, Marni, Chloe, Loewe, Givenchy, Valentino and Alexander McQueen were all part of her most stellar performance yet.

Aube Jolicoeur
With her impish stare and distinct strut, Haitian Aube Jolicoeur took no prisoners for SS18. From her Yeezy debut last year she came back full force starting with Marc Jacobs and going on to the show of all shows this season – the retrospective, supermodel heavy, Versace. From there it was smooth sailing with showings at Marni, Saint Laurent, Altuzarra, Acne, Givenchy, Giambattista Valli, and Miu Miu. Magnifique!

Felice Noordhoff
Prada fave Felice Noordhoff started this season with a bang with an opening slot at J.W. Anderson and strong London roster with Simone Rocha, Versus, and Topshop. She went on to Milano adding Alberta Ferretti, Fendi, Max Mara, Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana and yes, Prada to the list. Paris cinched the deal with too many shows to count – Dior, Margiela, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton just to name a few.

Fran Summers
Yorkshire bred Fran Summers easily nabbed a girl-of-the-season spot. Her memento from her breakout season will be all the newfound buzz she surely kicked up strutting down top runways. Starting in London with a J.W. Anderson exclusive the bobbed beauty went on to walk the best like Prada (exclusive), Dior, Saint Laurent, Chloe, Loewe, Givenchy, Céline, Valentino, McQueen, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton. Phew!

Gisele Fox
Fresh face and freckled, Gisele Fox had notable appearances at Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, and Calvin Klein this season but a closing spot for Prada broke editors necks. From there her score card got a little lengthy – Fendi, Jil Sander, Missoni, Dior, Margiela, Lanvin, Carven, Haider Ackermann, Givenchy, Valentino, Hermes, and Miu Miu.

Heejung Park
Heejung Park has flexed her modelling chops with editorials in her native South Korea since 2015 but this season is where she got her stride on the runway. After back-to-back bookings for Louis Vuitton this year — first Paris and then Kyoto — this fringed globetrotter turned up at NYFW with slots at Sies Marjan and Marc Jacobs. From there it was on to the other fashion capitals with Erdem and Peter Pilotto in London; Fendi, Ermanno Scervino, and Bottega Veneta in Milan; and Dries Van Noten, Chloe, Kenzo, Rick Owens and again, LV in Paris.

Justine Asset
French model Justine Asset has been on the brink of a breakthrough for a few seasons and made her grand leap at NYFW with Calvin Klein, Jason Wu, Carolina Herrera, and Fenty x Puma. You have to respect her hustle as she showed no signs of slowing down through the circuit – Christopher Kane, No. 21, Versace, Rocha, Altuzarra, Hermes, and Chanel all had the doe-eye beauty flaunt their new designs.

Mia Brammer
Brazilian blonde bombshell. The alliteration is necessary to describe this breakout star that stepped it up this season since her exclusive debut for Prada’s men show in January. Nine months later in New York she turned up in Victoria Beckham, Michael Kors, Coach, and Calvin Klein before heading to walk for Europe’s fashion elite – Burberry, Prada, Valentino and Alexander McQueen were just a few from her heavy-hitting roster.

Nina Marker
Danish babe Nina Marker’s market value just went up. Her killer good-looks made maximum impact on the premium runways of Fenty, Coach, J.W. Anderson, Fendi, Versace, Saint Laurent and Givenchy. Needless to say, Nina is so on the rise.

Breakout star Sarah Fraser and her peroxide pixie made waves with her best season to date starting off at Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta and Delpozo. She hit the mark in Milan with Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and MSGM before Maison Margiela, Carven, Sonia Rykiel, Acne, and finishing strong with Balenciaga.

Sasha’s been busier than ever this season commanding our attention and checking off bucket-list shows. The blonde beauty could be seen, or rather, could not be missed, walking shows like Calvin Klein, Marni and Valentino. Her crowning achievement? A major opening at Alexander McQueen. Carry on!

Shanelle Nyasiase
South Sudanese by way of Nairobi, Kenya, Shanelle’s poise and complete composure brought grown-up glamour to the catwalks of Miu Miu (for the third time), McQueen, Balenciaga, Gucci, and Marc Jacobs. This season Shanelle played a distinct part in delivering black power to the runway.

Sijia’s not unseasoned, but she’s finally hit her show stride touching down in all four capitals. The exquisite Chinese model showed she’s got a bonafide gift walking and wowing for the likes of Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Marni, Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin and Valentino.

Theresa Hayes
We first saw Theresa Hayes last year September with an exclusive spot for Louis Vuitton S/S 17 and then again next F/W season. It was a promise that Hayes was ramping up to take off. Well, she’s flying high after walking shows like Riri’s Fenty, Tommy Hilfger, Dior, Saint Laurent, Chloe, Off-White, Valentino, Miu Miu and, of course, Louis Vuitton.
