The Oscar winning movie (“Train them! Excite them! Then turn them loose!”) is an appropriate moniker for the Select gang who’s just arrived in NY. MDX gets a look at some of their top new faces, including former MOTW’s Colin and Ryan. Brace yourselves: with the Select boys in town big things are bound to happen. (If video pauses, wait for it to upload). In order on the video: Josh P(London), James T(England), Jacey who had a case of the giggles, Lee C(England), Colin (England), Rafael S(Brazil), Robertis (Lithuania), Christian (Denmark), Josh S (England), Stuart J (England), Will H (England), Ryan T (England), Jesse Wood (England) and last but not least Jacey from England who actually got it perfect on the first take…. the one we didn’t use.
I don’t know how important these videos are, but it sure doesn’t look like the guys did themselves any favors. While gorgeous, they appeared rushed and camera-shy, as if they couldn’t wait to get this over with. What’s up with that?
You know, many models are definitely more camera shy when it comes to video. The most important part is that the top photographers and clients see their faces live; they definitely understand that video is not most models’ forte unless they’ve been doing it for a couple of years. You have to remember that many of these guys are also teenagers.. how many teens are that comfortable on video camera?
As long as you were able to see that they are gorgeous, then mission accomplished! 🙂

The main point being that they are in a room with a load of other guys they know, not to mention their agents so there’s going to be hilarity … Usually at a casting, if they use film you’re alone with a casting director & a bunch of strangers around you & it’s more work like – these guys all know one another, Select has an enormous board but it’s quite family like … And honestly, does Betty want a bunch of guys to come in & be real quiet & reserved? I’m sure she’d rather have a giggle along with them – It’s models.com …. not a casting for Prada!
