Made in Britain
An outgrowth of the overcrowded “men’s day” which used to mark the end of the London women’s shows, London Collections Men has helped bring renewed attention to the vibrant diversity of the city’s designers as the international menswear market continues its rise. New talents have been given a boost through Fashion East, which supports young designers with shows and presentations, counting Christopher Shannon, Agi & Sam, and Craig Green among its graduates.
To celebrate the latest round of London Collections Men, Patrick Lindblom captured seven of London’s brightest new faces in Spring/Summer 2016 designs from eight of the British capital’s most exciting labels, including Casely-Hayford and Oliver Spencer, pulled straight from the runway by Jeanie Annan-Lewin. As the fifth year of London Collections Men gets underway, it’s a gentle reminder of all the city has to offer.

“I feel that London is a place that celebrates diversity, originality, and courage. It’s where I grew up and I feel proud to be able to present here.”

“London Collections Men has helped to crystalize the new creative energy in the London designer menswear sector. It encompasses all our strengths, from the sometimes irreverent, highly innovative, street-influenced collections to the work of the more formal, heritage-based brands, all celebrating the unique spirit of London at its best.”
Joe Casely-Hayford, Casely-Hayford
“I do find [London] inspiring and I love the cultural mix, I’d just like to be able to get away from it more. It’s definitely a place for people who want to torture themselves with jobs that you can’t seem to do anywhere else.”
Christopher Shannon
