Launching exclusively on the latest Jason Wu campaign stars the most sought-after model of late, Ruth Bell. Photographed by Inez and Vinoodh against the tail fins of a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, it’s the perfect getaway make and model for a well-timed exit from standard practices. Whilst the duo have lensed Wu‘s campaign’s since 2013, the Spring 2016 images reveal a major casting lane-change initiating rookie Ruth to embody the collection, previously a spot only offered to categorical supers with names like Kloss, Turlignton and Seymour. Her latest accomplishment initiates her beyond absolute beginner and a rung up the ranks, but her inclusion also suggests the designer wants to turn to the younger, and, arguably, buzzier-types, to refresh the Wu woman. Looking at these, it’s a change that will further rev up the persona of his brand to good effect.
