J.W ANDERSON /
‘Born Sleepy’
FW12 MENSWEAR PREVIEW

The strong graphic signature that has always informed JW Anderson women’s aesthetic finds its way in the designer’s Fall 12 men’s offering. Bold, ironic and all the more stylish for that, JW Anderson is keen to set itself apart from the generic muddle of latter day menswear. This exclusive MDX preview of the line, photographed by Alex Sainsbury certainly testifies to the truth of that intent.

Styling: Benjamin Bruno

Good hair. But hmm… Last season the collection was kind of sloppy, I was hoping for something closer to his AW/11 (Loved the patchwork pants). But this to me looks like a poor Balenciaga. Will hold full judgement until the womenswear show. Not convinced by this at all though. Sorry

Wow. Very interesting. Love the 70s vibe. Very “The Ice Storm” of 1997- totally channels Elijah Wood’s troubled Mikey Carver. Like also the interesting textures. And since we’re talking models….Very cool Oliver. Love the hair. Keep up the good work!

i really dont know why this is labeled as good design, it honestly is like staring at a piece of ‘modern/abstract/unformalswedish’ art wich really has no great meaning behind it but still worths 1000ts of dollars. just by looking at its face, it tells everyone: ‘hey! im just a red dot on a black piece of paper and made to make people go like: ohhhh luk t’ tht! wht a gruit stori! i have such a greaaat intellect’. i dont want to seem like a douche, but it really is.

or if im not right: it is not made for people, it is made to make believe in untrue art.
great cinema for a not-so-extremely-great film. it is terrible, even if it wants to express the momentum of beauty in the classic silence of a taken photo.

  31. Giogi says:

not to mention the obviously unaesthetic look of these trousers.

    im really rude.
