It is such an honor to be recognized by the CFDA and my peers. My FW13 menswear collection was loosely based on the Amish.

Best of both Worlds: The Hot Men + CFDA

It was a match made in heaven; the most stylish menswear of the moment on the backs of male modeling’s fastest rising stars. The boys of our brand new ranking The Hot List Men sport a choice selection of pieces from this year’s CFDA nominated designers in this MDC original editorial by Blair Getz Mezibov. Thom Browne, Public School, Michael Bastian, Duckie Brown, Tim Coppens and Todd Snyder represent the best and brightest in design and Adonis Bosso, Ian Sharp, Harry Curran, Kacey Carrig, Louis Steyaert, Race Imboden, the top tier in emerging male models – who can resist the best of both worlds?

We’re extremely honored and humbled by our nomination. It’s a dream come true that honestly we never planned for.

Duckie Brown oversized coat, APC pendant necklace

At Duckie Brown we always play around with proportion and shape. Each season our goal is to dress men beautifully, in an interesting way. Being nominated for a CFDA is really overwhelming and lovely because it is recognition from peers.

Tim Coppens sweatshirt, shirt, turtleneck, and trousers

Fall was an exploration of the street culture of my youth. References to skateboarding and graffiti print prevail the collection, developed with modern silhouettes and graphic details. I am deeply grateful to the CFDA and my colleagues for being recognized for my work.

Todd Snyder pony hair peacoat

We loosely called Fall 13 the Rebel Gentleman. It’s rooted in a sartorial mix of leather biker jackets, sharply tailored suits and graphic knitwear.
It’s always an honor to recognized by the CFDA, the experience has changed my business and legitimized my company as part of the American Menswear movement.

– Todd Snyder

Michael Bastian military blanket and glen-plaid suit, Model’s own T-shirt

It’s always such an incredible honor to get a CFDA nomination- the fact that it’s voted on by your peers (in a really competitive industry) makes it the highest honor one could hope for if you work in fashion.

– Michael Bastian
