Anna Sui S/S 13

Punk rock is here to stay – at least it will always have a place on Anna Sui‘s runways. Sui has always been adept at translating her various influences into a coherent collection and this season she moved between the punks of 70s Soho and the sophisticated interiors of Madeleine Castaing. Bridging a fifty year gap and two wildly divergent styles is no small feat, but as always Sui makes it look easy, fun and of course cute. Whether its the candy-colored coifs by Garren, or the whimsical cat-eared hats, Sui always brings out the adorable side of fashion. You’ll find no severity or somberness on the Anna Sui runway, just big smiles and big stars.

This season’s clothes were all about floral prints, lace accents and detailed leggings worn beneath nearly every look. Throw in some phenomenal accessories: cameo necklaces, cat-eye sunglasses and the aforementioned irresistible hats – and you have the makings of a look born for editorials, or for the wardrobes of all fashion’s quirky chameleons.

Hair – Garren
Makeup – Pat McGrath
