The Graduates

Sara Caballero

For the past decade, Models.com’s The Graduates series has been a visual check-in with the models of the moment who have consistently performed at the highest levels, going from the rising newcomers on the Hot List to the Top 50 recognizable muses throughout the world. Stars like Bella Hadid, Hoyeon, Vittoria Ceretti, Selena Forrest, and Sora Choi, to name a few, have all taken part in the milestone series that uniquely marks the shift in a model’s career. With major bookings in editorials, advertisements, lookbooks, and on the runway, these models have consistently locked down luxury clients in the most competitive markets while continuing to dominate on the global stage.

To commemorate this season, we flew to Paris during the madness of fashion week to shoot all the top talent with photographer Valentin Herfray. This year’s cast connects with the Models.com team to divulge how they got their starts, the key brands and creatives that have made their careers, and taking their place in the upper echelons.

Few debuts have felt as charmed, or as deserved, as Sara Caballero’s. The Spanish-Chilean Top 50 model bookended her recent show season in New York with Ralph Lauren and closed Paris with Chanel, a full-circle fashion month that instantly positioned her among the industry’s most magnetic faces. In between, she logged 35 shows across Milan, Paris, and New York, moving fluidly between Loewe, Bottega Veneta, Versace, Proenza Schouler, and Dior with the kind of stamina and presence that casting directors remember. That momentum has been matched in print as Caballero has been a staple on the pages of Vogue, W, WSJ, AnOther, and landed a Vogue España cover after her very first show season—an almost unheard-of coup at a time when actresses and influencers dominate covers—signaling that her rise would be anything but ordinary.

As the industry’s gaze followed, Caballero translated that breakout run, shooting campaigns and editorials with Glen Luchford for McQueen, Inez & Vinoodh for Vogue México, Brigitte Niedermair for Dior, David Sims for Ralph Lauren, and Robin Galiegue for Louis Vuitton. Poised yet approachable, she brings a disarming warmth rooted in her Chilean-Spanish background and in the fact that, not long ago, she was still a political-science student in Madrid pressing pause on university to “try” Fashion Week. “I wasn’t expecting a big career, so I didn’t put any pressure on it—and then it just started working out, working out, working out,” she says, still half-surprised. For Caballero, this Graduate moment isn’t just about entering the Top 50; it’s about claiming space for Latin American talent on fashion’s biggest stages, and doing it with range and staying power.
