  1. Amazing. The first time I looked at the fourth photo, it seemed as if the rock was part of the dress and as if Alana were floating.

  2. This is just pure High Art. There’s nothing negative that I can say about it. It all works!

  3. did Greg go to the same cave they shot Daria some months ago for us vogue??
they could have asked peter lik for some help while looking for a new cave…

  4. I love these pictures, I am curious what makes them more ethereal, is it photo shop? How do they create that background?

  5. Alana has stunning ,strong features and incredible cheekbones!
excellent backdrop matching with her look very well.

  6. can we give some props to Danny Santiago please, who was the Fashion Editor on this one!?

  7. Gustavo, there is a lot to consider when choosing your location. There are permits to consider, National parks, Rangers, etc. and in those slot canyons, the danger of flash floods (depending on when you shoot). Also you have to consider where you base crew and how easily you can get your girl to and from with Hair, Make up and wardrobe, how long you have light, etc.

I think the images are great and he made excellent use of the location. The images are definitely not repetitive.

  8. I am in awe of the creativity and vivacity of the images. This is in a league of its own; this image is a work of art and out of this world.

The model accentuates the photo very well; this is a beautiful image.

  9. Beautiful light, color tone, setting and mood in this. The model is strong, but the styling really makes it more than the model, in my view.

  10. Ohh wonderful!! Alana will never be out of work with a face like that, truly one of the very few models who bears a resemblance to Christy Turlington.

  11. Reminds me of historical relics. Looks like she’s caught in an issue of National Geographic. The background coordinates with her look but it’s overdone, blending her into the mysterious nothingness.

  12. I second that Carola!! She very much so gives me Christy Turlington. Such a gorgeous girl! Alana always turns it out, when she turns up. I still think she is one of the most underrated models on the market though..
