Daniel Lee shows us his promising vision for Bottega Veneta in debut campaign

Yesterday, Daniel Lee quietly presented his debut campaign as the creative director for Bottega Veneta. Quiet because, Lee himself, nor Bottega, have Instagram accounts to tip the hordes of bated breathed aesthetes who are aware that Lee is the one-time understudy of Phoebe Philo, now a visual outgrowth from her genius. Though it’s steeped in Philo homage, he left plenty of room to breed new code. It is on the island of Ischia, with Tyrone Lebon, that he gave people a glimpse of what that might look like––and it’s pretty dreamy (or torturous if you’re currently stuck in the polar vortex, sorry). Models Kaya Wilkins and Rockwell were both in the Lebon-photographed Pre-fall lookbook, but Oceana and Saskia de Brauw, who are featured for the first time under Lee’s watch, are welcome as additions as brand muses. We’ve got the full credits below.
