Fucking Young Turns Up the Heat

As fashion continues its quest to redefine gender boundaries, menswear magazine Fucking Young celebrates its tenth issue with a focus on sex. Starting with two sensual covers starring Diego Barrueco photographed by Michiel Meewis, the new edition finds a mix between carnal desire and conceptual drive. In a candid editor’s letter, Adriano Batista speaks honestly about being bullied as a child for being gay, tying together fashion’s celebration of individuality and freedom with continuing oppression of sexual rights around the world. Subversive artists Slava Mogutin and Gorka Postigo are featured, along with designers Riccardo Tisci, who has played with tropes of masculinity at Givenchy, and newcomers Glenn Martens of Y/Project and Palomo Spain’s Alejandro Gomez Palomo, whose collections take the idea of androgyny to another level. On the more physical side, Axl Jansen explores bondage while Kito Muñoz toys with the singular aesthetic of erotic movies.
