Chloe’s Time Capsule

Though the Chloe brand was founded in 1952 the early seventies have always held a special place in the label’s history. The relaxed silhouettes and romantic take on femininity are completely in line with the classic Chloe look created by Gaby Aghion. Current creative director, Clare Waight Keller sought to bring that feel to the label’s latest campaign, enlisting Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin to shoot Eniko Mihalik and Caroline Trentini in breezy spring looks on a sandy beach to create a perfectly dreamy campaign that takes viewers back to the days when Donna Summer played on the radio. “This season I was searching for a truly iconic 70’s beauty. Both Caroline and Eniko have that look, so indicative of the 70’s era; the unkempt hair, fresh natural radiance, soft freckles and sun-blushed skin that reminds me so much of the women of that period,” says Clare Waight Keller, ChloĆ© Creative Director.

Soft, gentle and romantic… So tired of how every other labels are becoming so similar… Tired of the white background, so-called minimalistic… The industry needs a voices like ChloĆ© and Anna Sui that sticks loyal to their ground and give the world a different perspective! ^.* good job!
