The Heat Is On

i-D Magazine keeps the goodness coming with two more gorgeous covers from their Winter Warm Up issue. Jourdan Dunn & Saskia de Brauw feature in images that capture their individual appeal. Alasdair McLellan shoots Jourdan in a simple black turtleneck chosen by i-D fashion editor Elgar Johnson and creates an picture that lets her classic beauty shine through. Who else could look this chic in matte lips and pink shadow? Meanwhile, Daniel Jackson crafts a striking black and white of Saskia that is pure elegance. 1. Great to see Jourdan here; simple, classic, and gorgeous. iD seems to really love her as this is her 5th cover in 3 years. And Saskia nails another one. Gosh!!! I find it just so incredible that so many ‘new girls’ this year have dominated across the board. (Arizona, Saskia, Daphne, Fei, Zuzanna, Nyasha, etc.) Just phenomenal!! So two more covers right?? Who’s next up???

  2. I don’t always like dubbing models, but has anyone started dubbing Saskia as Baby Stella yet? Lot of similarities. (Chanel, Lagerfeld, etc.) Stella was also a little older when she began modeling too. Just an observation.

  3. I agree with Kayleaf – Jourdan needs a cosmetics contract. I remember talk of her joining maybelline but that was just before she announced her pregnancy.

  4. Both amazing cover covers, Jourdan cover is beyond words……………… see i’m word less. She’s finally getting the the attention she needs if this was about 3 or 4 years ago the only black model they would but on the cover was Naomi now Jourdan twice this year.. It shows the fashion is changing in color & age because Saski i believe is 30 years old, not many models start off at 30 years old and look as amazing she does, her cover is amazing as well

  5. Don’t forget Marty, Jourdan is British and iD is London based. They tend to cater alot to British models. (See March 2009 issue)

  6. Nik says:
“Stella was also a little older when she began modeling too.”

Stella was 22 when she started in ’93.
