Fists of Fury

When it comes to cinema icons of martial arts, no one holds a candle to Bruce Lee. Film buffs remember him for his smooth moves onscreen, but Lee was incredibly stylish off duty, sporting 70s trends with ease and getting props from GQ. In Vman Magazine‘s Archetypes issue Cedric Buchet pays tribute to Lee’s effortless cool with a memorable story starring Rock Ji. Blessed with a flawless physique and a couple of cool moves of his own, Rock is the perfect person to portray Bruce.

  1. So impressed with this issue of VMAN. The best of men’s fashion & photography. Rock Ji brings all the flair and intensity of the great Bruce Lee. Bravo.

  2. Daayyyuummm….Without that explanation of who/what this editorial was about, I would’ve thought it was vintage footage of the man himself. Rock Ji totally personified the king!

  3. great casting and styling.

nice pictures too. but considering that it’s cedric (whose sublime talent i really appreciate) i’m underwhelmed with these forgettable images. it’s a shame since the concept has such potential.

  4. It had to happen some time… On the bright side this homage is done tounge-in-cheek and is kinda playfull unlike 97% of other editorials that feature non-white models. the second last shot is a winner, but i am dissapointed that they didnt style Rock with the iconic yellow jumpsuit. Speaking of Rock, i wouldnt mind getting a little boulder with him.

  5. Rock is pretty masculine, old skool, 90s male model type, with a really sickening body. Not exactly the pretty boy looks favored by today’s runway. I wish he does more international jobs because he is really sensational.
