More Is More

After seasons of perfecting minimalism, it seems fashion’s foremost stylists have taken an interest in the exact opposite. Fall’s fashion glossies are filled with layered looks that explode off the page with print, pattern and texture. There is nothing subtle about a Lanvin fur worn over lace tights, or the melange of sequins and colors, but you can’t deny that the combinations are eye-catching. Do you like the maximalist look or do you prefer your fashions a bit more subdued? Let us know in the comments.

  1. i really like Mariacarla in IVogue, she looks great AND I THINK SHE SHOULD BE REMOVE FROM THE 50 MODELS AND BE ON ICONS!
    i love valerija too

  2. I love both styles…I think too much of either can be boring. Right now, I prefer clean lines but these over-the-top wild prints can be really exciting too!

  3. Mariacarla needs to be on the Icons list mdc!!! She is way more “iconic” than some of those girls already on the list!!

p.s-I am not really a Valerija fan, but she is working it here.

  4. Mariacarla IS an icon!! She really entered into another realm this year, and maybe even reached a personal milestone. (Everyone knows that a Vogue Italia cover is the icing on the cake; and she well deserved this after so many years at THE TOP of the modeling industry. She really inspires me, that MCB. Alright Top 25 Icons her we come.

  5. Bring on the excess baby!!! Pour it on me!
Beyond glamourous…only if it’s properly executed, as styled in the images.

All so lux and lush, layer it, cut it, paste it and sprinkle a hint of glitz. How’s about that legwear on MariaCarla…yowza!

Liu’s image is simply one of the best I’ve seen this year :-O… Valerija is brilliance, i.e the new Burberry spot.
