America’s obsession with celebrity has lead us down many peculiar paths – maps to stars homes, Liberace museums, every issue of US Weekly ever – the list goes on and on. No manifestation of this fixation is more unusual than the proud tradition of wax figurines. Admit it – it’s a little creepy to pose next to a life sized replica of your favorite star. The thrill is cheesy and fleeting but how many of us have payed a visit to Madame Tussauds?

Terry Richardson gets the highly tacky, insanely addictive pleasure of such campy mainstays and with Anna Selezneva by his side he brings the joy to life for V. The likenesses of Michael Jackson, Johnny Depp and Madonna all make special appearances as Anna poses with a look of absolute glee.

  1. Genius!! The idea is so great and funny! Need to see this type of editorial , it is fresh, young, colorfull, energic! All the editorials are a bit dark lately or coming back to basics or to fashion heritage of fixed labels(March Vogue Paris).
But we need some joy, some people still have positive thinking out there!!! Fashion is about play, about game, about happyness, about dreaming and i think many fashion makers are forgeting it lately.
When everybody is conceptualising everything, being funny is being one step ahead and that’s fashionable!

  2. Whoever told hired Terry to take these photos and told Anna it was okay to work to pose next to wax figurines should be fired.
