V’s fall fashion extravaganza is dedicated to the city of New York and it kicks off to a great start with Alasdair McLellan‘s portfolio of fashion’s inspired by the effortlessly cool look of the East Village. Styled by Beat Bolliger and shot right on Saint Mark’s Place, the shoot features combat boots, chunky silver jewelry and a whole lot of layering to create a look that is a surprisingly luxe blend of punk and grunge. Who better to embody the edgy feel of the story than Agyness Deyn? The trendsetting model (and East Village resident) is back and better than ever. With her blonde buzzcut and tribal inspired makeup, Agyness looks like a young SinΓ©ad O’Connor.

  1. Agy bores me, sorry *prepares to come under attack by hardcore fans*. i hope V can save this issue. lately I don’t think they’ve been hitting the standard they usually have.. omg i’m so gonna die.

  2. second and fourth photos are the best of the bunch, however im sure they could have incorporated more of the east village in the photos as opposed to a sidewalk and a bench, its very inappropriately named; this location could be anywhere in new york, nothing identifies it. i do really love the buzzcut on agy too.

  3. she bores me too…..i really thought she would hold my interest for longer than she did, but weirdly, i grew bored of her very quickly, can’t explain it really, she’s clearly beautiful.

  4. the oh so shocking buzzcut is a little dull. but Agyness is a wonderful model. one of my faves actually

  5. with her bob dyed black, she looked very edgy and beatnik. i think more hair is better than the buzz

  6. It seems Agy will be forever, superb hair cut!!What can be more simple? The first picture is enough for me

  7. Cheetos and cigarette’s anyone?!

Such a throwback to the good ol’ days of the early 90’s (sans cigarette).

Can you not hear the Ace of Base blasting from the Magnavox damnit?!

She’s serving up some Sinead O’Connor hot.

  8. Eve Salvail will never recover from this. She must be really truly MAD right now, somewhere in ny city.

  9. I still can’t stop coming back to this page and looking at these images, this is a really really well done story. It’s timeless and awe inspiring sans effort.

  10. I’ve been waiting for her to do an editorial with her buzz cut. Was hoping it was going to be massive. This is just kind of simple. Would love to see her work with Meisel before she grows it out again.

  11. That haircut does not look good on any woman, no matter how beautiful she is, not Sinead, not Demi, not Aggy. Short hair looks amazing on some women, but this haircut reminds me of the boys at my military school when I was little. She is a good model, which saves the editorial, but that hair.. awful.

  12. agyness deyn gemma ward stella tenant jacquetta wheeler doutzen kroes adriana lima and laetitia casta should be on the icons list

  13. yeah I agree with Jamesy & Singe..she bores me too..
.same face expresion..and that grunge style of hers…its all been done in 90’…nothing original..sorry

  14. i love the feeling that these images give off.
    they’re so, “i don’t care” and i love that.

carola is definitely wrong about the haircut,
aggyness has the perfect facial shape for such
    an “extreme” cut.

  15. I guess I get a little annoyed when people say she’s giving you that “same grunge look/expression/style” what may have you. The point of the editorial, from the styling and the way the photographs were taking, to recreate that feel. Come on. It’s post-mod. Cut and paste a bit from the past and make seem new rather than reverent of former eras. Besides, she’d be the best one to get that across in photo.

  16. This is one of my favorites that I have seen in a long time! I love the style and add ons in these! She is a gorgeous model!
