What type of photography do you do?
Fashion, editorial and portfolio development for the different modeling agencies in our city.
What is your medium (digital or film)?
Switched to digital a few years ago, but have used film professionally since 1991.
What kind of camera do you use?
Nikon, as I have been using Nikon for 18 years and have a big investment in my lenses. Tough and reliable!
How long have you been in the industry?
Professional for 18 years.
How did you get your start?
Shooting for a magazine back in 1991.
Who/Where do you look to for inspiration?
Movies, ad campaigns and other photographers – Richard Avedon, Gilles Bensimon, Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Meisel and of course Scavullo!
What do you look for in a model?
It’s not just a look, but someone who is comfortable with them selves and confident in projecting her feeling to the camera!!
What was your most memorable shoot?
One of my first location shoots in Victoria British Columbia around the bay. The lighting was just perfect and the model was incredible. I shot this 14 years ago and everyone still loves this picture.
