New York based Thanos Samaras was born and
raised in Salonica, in northern Greece. He studied
art & design and architecture at London Guildhall
University and eventually theater, training at the
Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
In addition to working in fashion, he photographs
dolls for Japanese doll magazines and books. His
line of mohair doll wigs for the popular Blythe doll,
is sold in Japan and to collectors around the world.
In his native Greece, he has acted in dozens of films
and plays, recently nominated for Best Actor at the
Greek Academy Awards, for his performance in the
feature film Homeland (2010).
His editorial work has been featured in the Italian,
American, French, Greek and Russian editions of
Vogue, Harper's Bazaar US, CR Fashion Book, Vanity
Fair, Bullett, The Last Magazine, Ponystep, Elle,
