Shawn skillfully explores various aesthetics in his casting process, crafting unique worlds tailored to each client. He understands the relationship between aesthetics, design, and individuality, allowing the subjects he cast to reinforce the direction of any project.

His entry into the casting world came when he met casting director Michelle Lee while modeling in London. Under Michelle’s mentorship, Shawn developed a sharp eye for new faces, a deep understanding of production, and the importance of the collaborative process of the industry. He started his own company, SD Casts, in 2020 after over a decade of working with Lee.

Shawn lives and works in New York City, with clients worldwide.
