In 1987 he left belfast to join Toni & Guy in London were he retrained and became a member of the artistic team, He traveled for over a decade as the Artistic Director for the company, working on shows world wild, Leon used his deep fashion industry contacts to jumpstart his next chapter in New York City, leon assisted many of the great hair stylists around like Guido, Eugene Souleiman, Sam Mcknight for of 10 years in Paris and Milan before striking out on his own. It is during this time he established himself as one of the industry’s consistent session artists, working closely with Cutler salon leon cultivating his own respect and admiration from top-tier designers, leading shows and productions for Cynthia Rowley, John Richmond, Nanette Lenore, Gabrielle Colangelo, Luisa Beccaria, Carlos Miele, Vivenne Tam and more. His collaborations with prestigious fashion photographers have been featured in the illustrious pages of iconic industry publications, including Vogue (American, German, British, Australian and Japanese); Elle (English, Italian and American); Harpers Bazaar; Marie Claire; I.D., POP, Another Magazine, Glamour, Visionaire, and V Magazine.
