Carlton Davis began to explore the camera and its capabilities at the age of sixteen. He nurtured his talent as the high school yearbook photographer, and accepted a job at the local one-hour photo lab where he gained a better control of the medium.

Carlton studied photography in Rhode Island, then moved to New York where he further refined his skill and talent working as a photographer’s assistant. After three years assisting, Carlton opened his own commercial photography studio in 1990, where he has built a very successful career.
