Chanel Sensation

Brad Kroenig/Ford + Karl Lagerfeld outside the Chanel Tokyo megolith
You've heard the legend of the rock star mania Karl Lagerfeld unleashed on the streets of Tokyo earlier this month. Well thanks to some amazing digi-snaps by the eminent Brad Kroenig/Ford- who along with Gemma Ward/IMG, Dewi/Elite and Rila/Trump were among the Chanel models of choice- we have the pictures. From the glimpses of the Chanel store's ultra-sleek garage to documentation of Lagerfeld's stroll through a sea of fans, you will very much feel like you were there. Stay tuned in January 05 for the full on feature.

Campaign Flash

Natasha Poly/Women. Ph. Legoues French Dec 04
Women NY does it yet again taking MVP Natasha Poly into the A-list with her impending Gucci exclusive for S/S 05. Keep a sharp eye out for that breakthrough sensation, Shannon Click in her debut as one of the Prada 5 as well as in a turn for Hugo Boss. Also looking very iconic right this second is Carmen Kass with the Fendi campaign. Blonde bombshell Valentina, has had her Ralph Lauren exclusive extended and long distance runner Louise Pederson adds Tommy Hilfiger to her extensive campaign log. That girl must have the most enviable bank statements no?

Colette (Heart) Commes des Garcons

Always open to adventurous co-branding ideas, Parisian boutique Colette and Comme des Garcons have since the summer been collaborating on various ambitious shows in a temporary art space owned by the Japanese label in Tokyo, Aoyama.
Artists and designers such as Genevieve Gauckler, Tobias Wong, Ruri, Maarten Wetsema, Kuntzel+Deygas developed not only exhibitions for the space, but also limited edition products such as motorbike helmets, cutomized sneakers, bags and many other goodies sold exclusively at "Colette meets Comme des Garcons". Among the limited edition product galore, the sophisticated Dimitri from Paris ST Dupont DJ box certainly grabbed my attention. Just right to set fire on the dance floors of Shibuya.

This coming week is your last chance to check out the space before it closes in 2005 to be replaced by a new and unveiled Comme des Garcons project. See it fast!
