MDC welcomes Sebastien Agneessens, founder and curator of Formavision as the new trends editor for our Of The Minute column. As a curator, Sebastien oversees art exhibitions for famous brands like Mavi, Diesel and Sharp, bringing together visionary artists and trend setting brands. Formerly of Point Gallery in New York's Lower East Side, Sebastien specializes in exposing the work of emerging artists via multi-media projects. It's this background that makes him a very exciting addition to the MDC team. Stay tuned for more in upcoming weeks.

Mega Tronic

While Christmas shopping in Soho this December why not drop by Wooster Street and check out the supercool happenings of the AQUOS project. In an attempt to link their AQUOS LCD TV brand to the creative community, Sharp recently opened an interesting temporary gallery space, commissioning artists to create multi-media installations using their latest high-tech televisions.
After blasting off with Codex 408 , Kenzo Minami's first solo exhibition, which explored the Voynish manuscript, (elected "The World's Most Mysterious Manuscript") , the AQUOS project now presents "Bloom" by New York-based Tronic Studio. Tronic's work ranges from Visionaire's coveted website to TV spots for MTV, as well as a 3D shoe-modeling for NikeLab, and an art installation for the Diesel Denim Gallery. Quite a resume! We'll be seeing you there.

Right this minute, MDC is loving Elite newcomer Bobbi Wiens. You glimpsed her at the Marc Jacobs show and now she is starting to surface in her first suite of editorials. She is holding her own on camera quite nicely, no?
