Though this sixteen-year-old, Dutch teenager is still busy worrying about school exams, Roos Abels already has an honorary master’s degree in being an in-demand model. She’s been fast tracked onto the varsity team (and our Hot List), and already her résumé reads like a top-tier checklist spotted with names like Sorrenti, Mert and Marcus and lofty editorial appearances. Some could say she’s an over-achiever. It’s no secret the Netherlands are known for their enchanting homegrown beauties, and Roos is competitively angel-faced amongst her Dutch counterparts. Though the cradle of her career began at an appearance in the Prada S/S 15 show and then solidified with a Dior campaign, this past Fall / Winter 2016 season was her first complete show circuit. A month which included her maiden trip to New York City where she opened Calvin Klein–just one stop in a long list of runways including closing Proenza, Philip Plein and Ferragamo, or walking blue-chips like Prada, Versace, Chanel and Louis Vuitton. To her, all this is quickly becoming familiar territory as her hotly anticipated career unfolds.
What’s it like spending your springtime years hopping between fashion capitals and being on every casting director’s wish list? Roos kept a visual diary of her season for Models.com so we could walk a runway-mile in her shoes. View it in the gallery above.
