On the weekends, I love to pop by the shopping baazar in NoLita known as The Market to check out what the local designers who sell their wares there are up to. The intimate and personalized neighborhood-y shopping experience there lets me interact with the designers themselves and talk about their designs with them which always leads to a great shopping experience for me.
So, when I heard that the creators of The Market opened up a similar shopping set up, but only this time as an actual store called Emerge NYC, I was extremely excited. A one stop shopping mecca housing 65 talented young designers who exhibit and sell their creations in a 3,500 square feet open market environment with separate booths and shared counter space, displaying unique items ranging from clothes, jewelry to other accessories. The vendors include some great jewelry lines like Draugsvold, DedeMetal and MODELS.com’s veteran, Desideri Designs. As the holiday shopping season fastly approaches, there’s nothing better than to have the option of one-on-one designer-to-customer attention in a one-stop shopping port of call.
