Marc Jacobs @ the Met Model as a Muse exhibition preview

We are only hours away from the Costume Institute Gala and anticipation is riding high. With the dynamic ‘Model As Muse’ theme and luminaries like Kate Moss and Anna Wintour lending their time and their names to the event it is sure to be something to remember. This morning’s exhibition preview brought out fashion’s finest including Julien d’Ys, Suzy Menkes and iconic model Beverly Johnson.

One of the most memorable moments of the morning’s events was sponsor Marc Jacobs’ unscripted speech about the museum’s influence on his life and his work. By taking the time to talk about his personal connection to the Met he outlined the importance of giving back and powerful impact of institutions like the Met on inspiring talent.
