Insta-Diary : Viktor & Rolf

At the V&R showroom the elegant Carla Gebhart gives one of her looks a test drive.

Viktor & Rolf‘s show always manages to be one of the highlights of our Paris fashion week coverage (check out that spectacular MDX if you haven’t already) and this season we take you behind the scenes of one of PFW’s best shows via our instagrams of the excitement in the showroom, backstage and on the runway. Have a little peek into the what goes on before the models hit the catwalk!

A peek at casting director Andrew Weir‘s model board for the show. To coordinate with the otherworldly feel of the show, Weir chose girls who could give a witchy vibe.

Looks like someone else is ready to try their hand at casting! Andrew snapped this shot of Rolf’s adorable dog, Little Swan checking out the model board for himself.

Runway perfection looks easy, but it takes hard work and preparation, here seamstresses work on last minute details.

The dramatic makeup created by Pat McGrath was all about a strong burgundy lip and a matte violet eye, paired with powdered skin. At the very last moment before the show started each girl got a hint of lipgloss to finish the look.

You can’t have an official fashion show without the lively Anna Dello Russo in attendance.

One of the standout elements of the fall collection were the incredible tortoise shell accessories. The classic print made its way onto glossy belts, bags and of course shoes. We’re currently coveting these gorgeous booties!

Luigi Murenu created the sleekly styled hair for the show, it gave the girls a uniform yet alluring look.

The final hair & makeup on two of the season’s finest Henna Lintukangas and Lina Zhang.

On the runway the ensembles took on a larger than life quality, aided by that incredible set by Bureau Betak
