Paul Boche for Simon Spurr F/W 12 Show. All images by Dag Bennstrom for models.com
Simon Spurr went back to basics for his Fall 2012 collection, focusing on the suiting and other dressed-up menswear classics that have made his name. Working with a solid and sturdy palette of gray, gold, and a rich royal blue, Spurr reminded us why his suits are so popular among young Hollywood stars, each perfectly tailored and beautifully cut. If the collection lacked any statement pieces or obvious bids for attention (save perhaps an oversized houndstooth print), it was nonetheless a testament to Spurr’s talent for dressing the modern man sharply.
