If you notice the IMG new faces navigating the stressful labyrinth that is NYFW with unusual calm and focus, perhaps that is courtesy of Model Prep, that very good initiative the agency has launched, designed to give the first season models guidance and support. Now in its third year Model Prep 2011 was a beautiful occasion, not only because of the beauties and the industry powerhouses that showed up to lend support but more importantly because of its message of responsibility and compassion. The event featured speakers that ranged from top casting directors John Pfifer and Kanon Rajah mixed in with IMG stars like Lonneke and Lily Aldrige alongside experts on health and well being. In an industry that often times prompts you to think of a model as a disposable commodity, the care and concern with which IMG addressed its young charges served as an inspiration and a new ideal.
