Fall 2008 Fashion Bonanza

August’s Vanity Fair is here and it is a bonanza of those glossy Fall 2008 ad campaigns starring your favorite blue chippers. Fascinating to see how bag-driven almost all the new ads are!

  1. I’m loving this ad season!
St. John really changed things up this season. Love it!
Linda’s Prada ad rocks with the shadows!
Daria is very late 60s and gorgeous in Dior!
    Caroline for D&G is so-so.
Raquel almost looks like a guy in the Fendi ad.
    Interesting season indeed!

  2. I want to add that I adore multitude of textures!
I just want to touch everything!

  3. where are the african american women, oh yeah no one ever uses them…what shame…

  4. La Dame Linda Evangelista!! She always works the fashion
products whenever, wherever, and whoever ad campaigns that
she is in. Salute to you, Divine Diva Linda!! Damn, you make
    Prada bag looks fantastic!!

  5. someone really think those ads are great?
that problably means standards are so low now that
to look great s really easy…at least we still have linda..

  6. Daria looks stunning… I was bit sceptical but I need o admit she is reallt great in Dior…

Kate Moss is alright… nothing special…

St John is wonderful… Love this autumn-winter mood…

    D&G boring….

Fendi boring… Karl Lagerfeld is lost in dark lights…

  7. Daria in dior…i always stared at this picture when i saw it. Well done!

  8. Cassie, I so agree with you. Producers only want the ‘ideal’ looking model, as you see in these ad campaigns. Unfortunately, thats how it is because they believe that portraying a white model ensures more sales of the particular product, and people can ‘relate to a white model’ instead of another race. Also, if you guys haven’t noticed, usually* when a darker coloured woman is portrayed, she is lightened.
