Exploring Beijing

When Dragon Tian from Longteng Models in Beijing extended the kind invitation to attend his wedding to Chinese fashion star Danni Li, we expected an exciting event. We got much more than that, as from the moment we landed Mr Tian orchestrated a full on spectacle complete with an 8 hr wedding extravaganza featuring every major Chinese fashion force including Vogue China’s editor-in-chief Angelica Cheung (our table mate at the wedding dinner). Add to that a live Chinese opera performance, awe inspiring trips to The Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China as well as a survey of modern Beijing’s architectural landmarks such as the CCTV building and Bird Nest stadium, and the extensive art district’s modern art galleries and what you have was a high velocity tour through one of the the world’s most exciting cities. It is clear that Beijing is ready to stake its place on the fashion map.
